Eligibility Criteria Form for Scholarship Program

  1. Age Criteria:

    Applicants must be between the ages of 6 to 17 years at the time of application.

  2. Demonstrable Financial Need:

    Applicants must provide evidence of financial need. This could be in the form of:

    • Proof of family income (e.g., recent pay stubs, tax return documents).
    • A written reference or confirmation from a school counselor, principal, or a community leader familiar with the family’s financial situation.
  3. Passion for Music:

    Applicants must demonstrate a clear passion and dedication for music. This can be showcased through:

    • An essay (not exceeding 500 words) describing their love for music, any previous experiences, and how the scholarship will benefit their musical journey.
    • A video submission (not longer than 3 minutes) showcasing their musical talent, be it singing, playing an instrument, or discussing their musical aspirations.
  4. Residency:

    Applicants must be residents of the Roanoke area and should be able to provide proof of residency if required.

  5. Academic Standing:

    While the primary focus is on musical passion and financial need, a good academic standing can be an added advantage. Applicants may provide recent report cards or a letter of recommendation from a school teacher highlighting their dedication to academics.

  6. Previous Scholarship Recipients:

    Students who have previously been awarded the Treble Makers Music Scholarship can reapply, but they must demonstrate progress in their musical journey since their last award.

  7. Commitment to Program:

    If selected, recipients must commit to attending the entirety of the program/course for which the scholarship is awarded.

  8. Agreement to Terms and Conditions:

    All applicants must agree to the scholarship program’s terms and conditions, which include, but are not limited to, the utilization of funds, attendance requirements, and periodic progress checks.

Note: Failure to meet any of the above criteria may result in disqualification from the scholarship program. The Treble Makers Music School reserves the right to verify all provided information and to request additional documentation if necessary.
